The Joy Shearer Timing Reports system is designed to record statistics on a per shear basis from a Joy Longwall while it is shearing coal. This is accomplished by using a real time connection to the Joy Citect Server. By continuously reading the Shearer's state, position and velocity, data is stored in an SQL database for historical reporting.
Key Features:
Create Report
 |
- Log historical shear information
- Compare longwall shears easily
- Determine trouble areas along the face
- Review and Assess shearer performance per shift
- Acces the system from anywhere using a web browser

The Joy Shearer Timing Reports system is designed to record statistics on a per shear basis from the Joy Longwall. This is done by using a real time connection to the Joy Citect Server. By continuously reading the Shearer's state, position and velocity, data is stored in an SQL database for later processing.
At report time a Longwall Shear is determined by an algorithm that uses user defined points along the face to compute statistics in the various sections of a shear. The user defined points map out the Maingate, Tailgate and Run zones of a shear. Due to the zig zag nature of the shearing process it can be beneficial to break up your statistics into these zones.
